Cyberstalking is increasingly becoming a common crime in today’s world of the use of the internet. Conducting an investigation into this type of crime may be new to many investigators and law enforcement. Here are some steps to follow to assist investigators, law enforcement or you – if you are a victim of this type of crime – as you will need to know what type of information to document to assist in tracking down the perpetrator. New Challenge: Help Prevent Dating Violence and Assault

Young women face the highest rates of dating violence and sexual assault. Nineteen percent of women (nearly 1 in 5) report experiencing sexual assault while in college. Many of these assaults occur when the offender, often an acquaintance, has targeted and isolated a young woman in vulnerable circumstances. By admin in harassment, Wanted at July 29th, 2011 | No comments

The man was placed under arrest and taken to Oneida County where he is facing charges related to domestic violence and harassment of his ex-girlfriend.

Before his arrest, Burgos posted messages via Facebook such as “Catch me if you can, I’m in Brooklyn,” and he even posted a video of him walking into an unidentified NYPD stationhouse.

There’s no explanation as to what Burgos’ motivation was and whether he genuinely believed that he could continue with his online antics without getting caught eventually. All Utica police sergeant Steve Hauck had to say about the incident is that “He told us via Facebook to come and get him and we did.”
